Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Data Punks (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you visit datapunks.io or contact us. We are the data controller for this website.

Fuse product data (catalogue workloads in the product) is processed and stored in the EU. That is separate from this marketing website. This website’s contact form is delivered by FormSubmit, which may process personal data outside the EU — see section 2.1.

2. What data we collect

2.1 Contact form

If you use our contact form, the information you submit (your email address, and optionally your phone number and message) is sent to us by email via FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a third-party form delivery service. FormSubmit processes the transmission so the message reaches info@datapunks.io. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry.

  • Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps) and/or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries).
  • Processor: FormSubmit / FormSubmit LLC (or its operating entity) acts as a processor for form delivery. See https://formsubmit.co/privacy.pdf (or the privacy notice published on formsubmit.co).
  • International transfer: FormSubmit may process form submissions on infrastructure outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. That is an international transfer of personal data. FormSubmit is not the Fuse product environment; Fuse catalogue data is processed and stored in the EU.
  • Retention: Until your request is handled and for a reasonable period thereafter for follow-up and record-keeping (typically up to 24 months unless a longer period is required by law).

2.2 Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States. GA4 helps us understand how visitors use our website (e.g. pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source).

GA4 may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish users and sessions. Google may also collect your IP address; in GA4 this is not stored in full by default but may still be processed transiently.

  • Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent via our cookie banner.
  • Processor: Google LLC acts as our processor for analytics data.
  • International transfer: Data may be processed in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795).
  • Retention: GA4 event data is retained according to our GA4 property settings, as configured in Google Analytics admin.
  • Opt-out: You can decline analytics cookies in our banner, or change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the site footer.

2.3 Strictly necessary cookies

Our consent management platform (consentmanager.net) stores your cookie preferences. These cookies are necessary to remember your choice and comply with privacy law. They do not require consent.

The consentmanager reopen control (the floating badge that lets you change your choice) is a third-party widget provided by consentmanager.net.

3. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”) where applicable
  • Restrict or object to processing where applicable
  • Data portability where applicable
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing)

4. Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here.
